Targeted Intervention Program (TI Program) |

Pahal Foundation implements quality HIV prevention programs through the Targeted Intervention for Men having sex Men (MSM), Transgenders (TG) and Hijra population in Faridabad. The program is funded by Haryana ADIS Control Society (HACS) under National AIDS Control Program Phase 3 (NACP 3).
The overall goal of NACP 3 is to halt and reverse the epidemic in India over the next five years by integrating programs for prevention, care & support and treatment. (Source: National AIDS Control Organisation)
MSM, TG and Hijra populations form one of the three Core High Risk Groups (HRGs) and through the TIs these populations receive a comprehensive package of prevention services. Under TI Pahal Foundation offers the following services: |

| Hijra & TG Regional Consultation |

Pahal Foundation organised 2 day regional consultation on the issues of Hijras and Transgender population from the following states: Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir. The consultation was held on 19th & 20th June 2009 with the objective to arrive at a regionally accepted definition of Hijras and transgender and produce a set of recommendations on issues of Hijras and Transgenders. The output of the consultation was fed into the larger national consultation.
The consultation was organised with support from United Nations Development Programme, India (UNDP). |

TABLE CALENDAR 2010 |

Pahal Foundation has used the medium of photography and art to highlight the issues of Hijra community in India. The foundation has developed the table calendar for the year 2010 featuring models from the hijra community. The calendar aims to raise awareness about the community and showcase its talent, aspirations and desires.

STIGMA STUDY |
